Sunday Thoroughbred Club, Shadai Thoroughbred Club, and other Shadai Group clubs announced the recruitment prices for their 2026 yearling horses on their official websites on the 11th.
Since these clubs operate on a 40-share system, a horse with a recruitment price of 100 million yen would cost 2.5 million yen per share. On X (formerly Twitter), reactions varied widely: “Equinox offspring are ridiculously overpriced, lol,” “Equinox foals are on another level of pricing,” “Way too expensive for a small company employee like me,” “Even though it’s a half-sister to Museum Mile, a sire like Schnell Meister at 150 million is impressive,” “Within acceptable range,” “If it went to the Select Sale, it would easily be double,” “It’s actually a good deal considering the high per-share price,” and “This year is surprisingly more reasonable compared to last.” Many users expressed mixed feelings.
