Zenit’s official Telegram channel has announced their Matchday 30 fixture in the Russian Premier League against Rostov, a game that could see the St. Petersburg side clinch the Russian championship.
After a 2-1 victory over Sochi in Round 29, coupled with Krasnodar’s 1-2 loss to Dynamo Moscow, Zenit now sit top of the table with 65 points. Krasnodar, in second place, have 63 points and will face Orenburg at home in the final round.
“Just one step away!” the club’s post read. All Round 30 matches in the RPL will kick off at the same time, with the entire round scheduled for the same day. Zenit are already 10-time Russian champions and also won the Soviet Union title once.
